InfoRocket This company launched a site on the web to connect people with knowledge with people seeking knowledge. It plugs the site as a "place where human interaction gets you the exact answers you need when you need them. If you have answers, you can get paid for your experiences, know-how and information." You can bid on questions that match your interests and experiences. Founded in November of 1998 and based in New York's Silicon Alley, InfoRocket is a privately held company backed by venture funding from Prospect Street Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Garage.com, and Stan Shuman a senior executive at Allen & Company. Unfortunately this was one of the companies to go down in the dot-com era. No longer in business.
